As knowledge of Science and Technology took rapid strides over the years, man learned to tamper with nature altar to suit him. International Resource Panel Report says material resource use expected to reach nearly 90 billion tonnes in 2017, and may more than double from 2015 to 2050. “The amount of natural resources used is closely linked to the amount of final waste and emissions generated through their use,” said International Resource Panel co-chairs Janez Potocnik and Izabella Teixeira in a joint statement. “Effective pollution control must also look to minimize raw material use, thereby decreasing final waste and emissions.”
