About
I live in Suriname, a rainforest land on the Guyana Shield in South America, and bathed by the Atlantic Ocean. Everything living creatures are and do, involves water and energy. Hence the decision to connect here, and I am humbled by the amazing expertise available in this particular water network. I studied agricultural engineering with focus on post-harvest technology and energy in agriculture. Specialized further in environmental management and worked mostly in that field, which allowed me to learn more and help implement best practices in different types of activities including during project, operational and closure phases of mining. Over the past couple of years I have worked in stakeholder engagement/consultation and coordination of environmental&social impact assessments for development projects (oil as well as renewable energy).
